Laredo Shortstop Picked SA Player of the Week Monday, August 17th, 2037 It was a fantastic week for Laredo shortstop Barton Boreland and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the USSL Single A Player of the Week Award. Last week Boreland hammered the ball at a torrid .500 pace, going 10-for-20 with no home runs, 4 RBIs and 6 runs scored. This year Boreland has collected a .357 batting average to date with 25 hits in 70 at-bats, 9 RBIs, 1 home run and scored 12 times. He has played in 17 games. |
