3A Top Pitcher Award for August to Gao Tuesday, September 1st, 2037 There's something about a young rookie winning the M3L Single A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Yeow-whye Gao, a 22-year-old starter for the Kennesaw Jets. In August, he topped off the month with a 5-0 mark and 2.39 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 37.2 innings, fanned 37 and held opposing teams to a .217 average. Gao has gone 10-5 this season with an ERA of 4.09 and 130 strikeouts in 127.2 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .275 against him. |
