Hits Galore: Vélez Drills 5 Hits Monday, August 10th, 2037 It was a parade of hits for César Vélez of the Idaho Falls Chukars at The Coffin today. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Vélez finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Chukars to a 9-4 victory. "Vélez was really good and we were really bad," groaned Reapers manager Enrique Zumaya. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." César Vélez singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
