Big Day with Bat: Larson 5-for-5
Sunday, August 9th, 2037
The Cape Coral Reefers stopped the Idaho Falls Chukars by a score of 8-3 at Idaho Falls Park today, with the lion's share of the credit going to second baseman Jhett Larson. The 19-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Larson said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Larson did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Chukars.

"Not much that I can say," offered Idaho Falls manager Steven Hodnett. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Jhett Larson doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Nicolaas Eland in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

In his season totals, Larson has 8 home runs, .283 BA, .317 OBP, 20 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has played in 45 games.
