Córdova Whiffs 20, Lake Erie Tops Eugene Friday, July 17th, 2037 Marcos Córdova of the Lake Erie Arryns put on a pitching clinic today at Arryns Ballpark as he struck out 20 Eugene Vandals in a 13-1 victory. Córdova, who is tied for 9th in the 3A in wins with 5, was simply magnificent as he held the Vandals to 4 hits. He walked 1. "I felt okay at the beginning," Córdova said, "but eventually my fastball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Córdova's performance, Arryns manager Donald Hutchinson shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
