Cape Coral manager Willis Crawford was in a jovial mode after the game, kidding with reporters that Pérez "made managing easy today." "I didn't have hardly any decisions to make like I usually do," he said. "I didn't even have to come up with a pinch hitter." Presently Pérez has a 4-2 mark in 6 starts with a 3.24 ERA.
