Carson, Dirty Reds Rough Up Outlaws
|
The San Mateo Dirty Reds beat the Nashville Outlaws, 13-3, at Lang Park. The Dirty Reds got a fine performance from left fielder Dylan Carson, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. San Mateo reliever Anastasio Cabanillas Jr. was the winner. His record is now 2-2. Won-sup Yang took the loss. The Dirty Reds raised their record to 40-36.
Hugh Mungus, who is on pace for 67 RBI this season, contributed to the San Mateo win with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 6 runs batted in.
"We got our butts kicked," said Nashville manager Ryan Naylor.
