Loss to Divided Extends Phoenix Losing Streak

D.C. starter António Castillo put a stranglehold on the Phoenix offense. The left-hander had complete command of his knuckle curve in leading the Divided to a 3-1 win. Castillo went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 7-6. Phoenix is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 7 in a row.
The outcome might have been different for D.C., had it not been for Kimi Okubo, the 24-year old second baseman . Okubo stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put D.C. up, 3-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"António was António," said Divided manager Jonathan Gerth. "We know what we'll get whenever he takes the mound."
