Tseng, Evergreens Sink Rainbow Mermaids Again in Game
|
Portland Evergreens shortstop Yu-shu Tseng was the difference-maker at Atlantica today, winning player of the game honors as he led his club to victory in a pivotal Game of the Round 2038. The Evergreens took the 4-3 win over the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.
Portland used the timely hitting of Mei Kim to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Evergreens ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"It feels good to get this one," Kim told the Portland Today.
Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow. Slated to start are Hiro Kurasawa for Portland and Ratko Davidovic for Northern Virginia.
