Atoms Hammered by Castillo, Drop Game 2 to Blimps
With center fielder León Castillo leading the charge, the Akron Blimps got a road win over the Bethesda Atoms, 5-2, in Game 2 of the 3L AA Championship today. Castillo belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 at Atoms Field to help Akron force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

The Blimps took a 3-0 lead in the top of the third inning. Facing Bethesda hurler Al Gagne with no outs, Castillo hit a 2-run home run.

Castillo called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday, September 24th, 2037 at Goodyear Hanger Dome. The scheduled starters for the game are Eduardo Flores for the Bethesda Atoms and Thomas Careless for the the Akron Blimps.
