Dodos Rally Past Fog to Claim 1-0 Series Lead
The Hialeah Dodos started the SL AAA Championship in dramatic fashion today, stealing Game 1 from the Sunset District Fog in a walk-off. Hialeah won 4-3 behind a good day from starter Pedro López. The right-hander threw 5 innings of shutout ball in the win, which gave the Dodos a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-5 series.

Ernesto Trevino was the walk-off hero for Hialeah. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Dodos center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," López said.

Game 2 is scheduled for tomorrow in Hialeah. Slated to start are Akinori Yamauchi for Sunset District and Rob Silva for Hialeah.
