Racers Win to Extend Series Lead to 2-0
Riding the 3-hit performance of third baseman Richard Trevithick, the Indianapolis Racers got a road win against the Tortolita Drummers, 12-2, in Game 2 of the 3L AAA Championship today. Trevithick went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Racers, who now lead the best-of-5 series, 2 games to 0.

It could have been a different outcome for Indianapolis, had it not been for Lauren Hilfiker, the 24-year old first baseman . Hilfiker contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the first inning to put Indianapolis up, 2-0.

Tortolita manager Wilson Alvarado called the blowout loss "ugly."

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday, September 24th, 2037 at Speedway Field in Indianapolis. Slated to start are Karl Dandleton for the Tortolita Drummers and Filip Radyuhin for the the Indianapolis Racers.
