Northern Lions BC Top Hotspur to Even Record
|
It was a fun time at Great Northern Field, where the Phoenix Hotspur and Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC tangled.
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Sébastien Cornu, the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the Phoenix Hotspur, 6-4. Cornu went 2-2 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Northern Lions BC. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Walt Coffman.
Early in the game, Cornu had a solo home run for Thunder Bay. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Northern Lions BC on top, 1-0.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Cornu told reporters after the game.
Today's win puts Thunder Bay at 30-30, while Phoenix falls to 34-26.
