Home Field Advantage: Baxter, San Mateo Open Silver League Championship with Win

The importance of Game was not lost on Kevin Baxter.
In leading San Mateo to a crucial 10-0 victory over the Cleveland Browns at Lang Park today, the Dirty Reds center fielder rose to the occasion. He was 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 to player of the game honors as San Mateo defended their home field and seized a - lead in the best-of- Silver League Championship.
In the bottom of the fourth, San Mateo second baseman Denis Higgins had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Higgins stroked a bases-clearing triple to left. It made the score 4-0, San Mateo. For the game, he went 1 for 4 with a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Higgins said after the game.
