Still Kicking: Houston Cut Buffalo Series Lead to - With Late Win
|
The Houston 1837 BBC went into extra innings against the Buffalo White Walkers but ultimately moved to within one game of the Round 2 today. The 1837 BBC downed the White Walkers at Beyond the Wall by a score of 3-2. Houston right-hander Gus Osborne was named player of the game after a solid outing in which he threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the 1837 BBC a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.
Houston used the bat of Komotay Koffie to get the win. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the 1837 BBC ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Houston manager Tyler Johnson.
