Rhinos Jolt Uruguayans with Late Rally

The Rhinos faced a stiff challenge from Germantown pitcher Brenden Colling, but persevered to claim a win at Ballpark of Albuquerque. The final score was 3-2. Colling went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Redwood reliever Jesús Bonilla got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Ka-fei Sun was tagged with the loss. Jo-hsi Ru was credited with the save for Redwood, his 11th of the season.
Redwood used the timely hitting of Joe Hensball to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rhinos on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Hensball told the Redwood Gazette.
Redwood currently is in 8th place in the Menard's R at 43-52.
