Elephants Need Extras to Top Warheads
The Gibtown Elephants took Amarillo pitcher Shigochiyo Tanaka's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Henderson. The final score had Gibtown getting past the Warheads, 8-4. Tanaka went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run, striking out 10. Adri van Huizen picked up the save for Gibtown, his 24th of the year. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Gibtown.

Gibtown used the clutch hitting of Jeff McNeice to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Elephants ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
