Redwood right-hander Carlos Guadarrama was sensational in shutting out the Canonniers de Quebec, 3-0. Guadarrama, now 5-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs. Jo-hsi Ru nailed down his 5th save.

Early in the game, third baseman Salvador Aquino had a run-scoring double for Redwood. It was his 14th double of the season and put the Rhinos on top, 1-0.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Redwood manager Kyle Myers said.
