Tight Tilt Goes to Harbor Whales, 2-1

The Greenport Harbor Whales did just enough to secure a 2-1 victory over the Germantown Uruguayans at Ballpark of Albuquerque. Nobody did more than pitcher Zuo-lin Liang, who captured player of the game honors. Liang picked up the win for Greenport, going 5 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 3-2. Greenport, at 35-37, sits in 8th place in the Menard's R.
It could have been a different outcome for Greenport, had it not been for Germán López, the 20-year old second baseman . López contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to put Greenport up, 2-0.
"We put together a nice win," López said.
