The Biscuits grabbed a win, 4-3, at The Igloo, overcoming a fine effort from Ellesmere Island pitcher Danny Byrd. Byrd went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Marc Olsen converted his 4th save in 4 tries. The Biscuits, at 53-39, sit in third place in the Silver R.
Montgomery used the timely hitting of Chris Carson to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Biscuits on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
After the game, Montgomery manager Félix Cruz applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
