It was a fun time at Terriers Ballpark, where the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople and Amarillo Submarinos tangled.

The Amarillo Submarinos stopped the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 8-2, at Terriers Ballpark. The Submarinos got a big game from Colt Allen, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Danny Stam earned the win to go to 4-4. He allowed 2 earned runs on 5 hits, with no walks and 11 strikeouts.

With Amarillo leading 5-0 in the bottom of the sixth, Allen came up to bat against Ellesmere Island pitcher Danny Byrd. Allen hit a curveball to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Submarinos on top, 8-0.

In postgame comments to the Amarillo News, Allen said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

The Submarinos own a robust 56-31 mark.
