The Phoenix Hotspur Academy went home winners at The Igloo, thanks in large part to starter Lúcio Salas. Salas silenced the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, enabling Phoenix to grab the 4-0 win. Salas, the winner, moves to 10-3. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. Jing-sheng Bian recorded the save for Phoenix, his 1st of the season.

Phoenix needed the clutch hitting of Daniel Page to notch the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hotspur Academy on top, 4-0. For the game, Page had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We'll savor this win," Salas told the Phoenix Daily, "then get ready for the next game."

The third-place Hotspur Academy improved to 46-31.
