Fans who came to Dylan Park watched the Quebec City Baby Blues and the Ballard Beavers fight to the finish.
Ballard got a terrific performance from pitcher Félix Aiza, but it wasn't enough to beat the Quebec City Baby Blues. Quebec City won the Dylan Park contest, 4-3. Aiza was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. Mike Park earned the save for Quebec City, his 21st.
Quebec City took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out, center fielder Doug Chapman hit a grand slam home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Quebec City manager Tony Romero.
The second-place Baby Blues have won 5 consecutive games.
