The Quebec City Baby Blues got a strong performance from pitcher John Gordon, who stymied the Tulsa offense en route to a 4-2 win at Dylan Park. In 6.1 innings, Gordon surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. With the win, the Baby Blues have a record of 43-30.
José Bermúdez had a big run-scoring double for the Baby Blues in the bottom of the third inning. With Quebec City leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a circle change from Gerard Fyson and stroked the double to center. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Baby Blues ahead, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Bermúdez told the Quebec City Times.
