Snowpeople Come Up Short at Tulsa

Ellesmere Island got a terrific performance from pitcher Jordon Glen Anderson, but it wasn't enough to beat the Tulsa Otters. Tulsa won the Ballpark of Hughesville contest, 4-3. Anderson was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings allowing 3 runs. Ellesmere Island's current losing streak is now 5 games.
Had Ramón Rodríguez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Rodríguez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Otters.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Ellesmere Island skipper Wallace James, "and it cost us."
