Baby Lakers Squelch Tigers Offense in Shutout Win
|
Bompton right-hander Bill Holbrook pitched his team to a shutout win, 3-0, over the Twinsburg Tigers. Bompton now owns a record of 32-28.
Bompton used the timely hitting of Wei Tu to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Baby Lakers on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Holbrook told the Bompton Observer.
