Rhinos Walk Off with 4-3 Win
|
The Redwood Rhinos scored a 4-3 win versus the Northwest Territory Beavers at The Zoo. Redwood pitcher Ramón Ramírez nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The winner was Redwood reliever Jo-hsi Ru, now 2-1. The loser was Adam Durango. Redwood is now 25-25, Northwest Territory 33-17.
The Rhinos were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when designated hitter Ju-ao Cen turned a full count changeup from Adam Durango into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Redwood a thrilling 4-3 win.
After the game, Redwood manager Kyle Myers applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
