Streaking Deer Win Another One
|
The Sheridan Deer defeated the Hicksville Hounds, 8-2, at Hound Pound. Sheridan shortstop Alfonso López was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Sheridan reliever Adam Keast was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Glenn Underwood. Sheridan is now riding a 6-game win streak.
Sheridan second baseman Bert Allison helped his team take an early lead. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Sheridan manager Scott Alexander.
