Beavers Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
Northwest Territory starter Jerry Cherry had a strong outing against the Sheridan Deer at Beaver Town. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-1 win. Cherry, now 2-1, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 1 earned run. Adam Durango earned the save, his 10th, for the Beavers.
Kiril Neuvel, who is tied for 7th in the 3R in home runs with 3, aided the Northwest Territory cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Northwest Territory manager Tom Carlson.
Northwest Territory has an impressive 22-10 record.
