Baby Lakers Hang 7-2 Loss on Elephants

It was a good time at Field of the Browns, where fans came to watch the Gibtown Elephants and Bompton Baby Lakers get after it.
Getting an impressive start from Francisco Esposo, Bompton beat Gibtown by the score of 7-2. Esposo got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 3 over 5.1 innings. Esposo allowed 2 earned runs.
Steffen Schulte had a big run-scoring single for the Baby Lakers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Bompton leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Bill Culshaw and stroked the single to center. It was his 22nd hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Baby Lakers ahead, 4-2.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Schulte.
The Baby Lakers' win now puts them at 20-11.
