Deer Throttle Rhinos, 6-1
|
Redwood had no answer for Sheridan Deer starter Marc Grandjean, who flummoxed Rhinos hitters as the Deer cruised to a 6-1 victory. Grandjean, the winner, moves to 1-3. He threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 12 and giving up no walks. Earning his 1st save for Sheridan was Pancho Cazalla.
Phillip White helped out the Sheridan cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman drew 2 walks.
"Today was a lot of fun," said White.
Sheridan is now 10-12. Redwood is 13-9.
