Gibtown Elephants starter Poto Boldrini was in fine form against the Greenport Harbor Whales at Wrigley Field, leading his team to a 3-2 win. Boldrini, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 2 walks. Hyosuke Matsui earned his 3rd save in 3 tries.
Félix Ronchi hit a 2-run triple off Javier Soto in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Elephants in front, 3-1. Ronchi had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
When asked about his performance after the game, Boldrini said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
The Harbor Whales drop to 4-8 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2037 season.
