Victory Over Dirty Reds Takes Nashville to 24-13
|
San Mateo second baseman Denis Higgins was sensational. He was 2-2 with a home run and was hit 2 times, while scoring 2 times, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Nashville beat the Dirty Reds, 5-3. Higgins was named the player of the game despite the loss. Getting the save was Yu-eh Mi, his 13th. The 'W' lifts Nashville's record to 24-13.
In the bottom of the 6th, designated hitter Myron Rosenbalm gave Nashville the lead when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Outlaws had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out double off San Mateo pitcher Juan Moreno changed that -- and Nashville went on to win.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Rosenbalm said.
