Tulsa and Ballard got after it at Field of the Sunchasers.
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Luis Gamboa, the Tulsa Otters defeated the Ballard Beavers, 6-2. Gamboa went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs for the Otters. The 6th-place Otters now have a win-loss record of 22-23.
Tulsa used the timely hitting of Ramón Rodríguez to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Otters on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.
Rodríguez attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
