Snowpeople Stay Hot, Beat Biscuits
|
The Snowpeople grabbed a win, 4-0, at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Montgomery pitcher Juan Franco. Franco went 7 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. The Snowpeople have now won 6 straight.
Ellesmere Island used the timely hitting of Diego Alejandro Ureña to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the Snowpeople on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Ellesmere Island manager Wallace James.
