Biscuits Clip Submarinos in Tight Contest
|
The Montgomery Biscuits topped the Amarillo Submarinos, 3-1, in USSL Rookie action at Terriers Ballpark. The player of the game was Montgomery pitcher and Danville, Indiana native Clinton Repetto. Chao Khu earned the save for Montgomery, his 8th of the year. Montgomery is now 22-20.
Montgomery used the bat of Fraser Childs to get the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Biscuits ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Repetto.
