Field of the Sunchasers was the site of a competitive game between the Franklin Fire and Ballard Beavers.

The Ballard Beavers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Vas Atepko, who stifled the Franklin offense en route to a 2-0 Beavers win at Field of the Sunchasers. The win was Chris Batt's in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Biff Pocoroba took the loss for Franklin.

A.T. Tappman, the Ballard third baseman, contributed a 2-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 2-0, Beavers. For the game, Tappman was 2-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Tappman.

The win puts the Beavers at 23-18, while the Fire drop to 13-28.
