Joyner Shines in Snowpeople Win
It was a good time at The Igloo, where fans came to watch the Quebec City Baby Blues and Ellesmere Island Snowpeople get after it.

The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople topped the Quebec City Baby Blues by the score of 13-6, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Ken Joyner. Joyner went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Snowpeople. Jordon Glen Anderson got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 6 runs on 9 hits in 5 innings. Wilson Tamayo sewed up the save, his 1st.

With Ellesmere Island leading 5-4 in the bottom of the fifth, Joyner hit a fastball from Jesús Ortíz for a 2-run double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Snowpeople ahead, 7-4.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Joyner told the Ellesmere Island Bulletin.

Ellesmere Island, now 11-15, holds 8th place in the Silver R.
