The Ellesmere Island Snowpeople got a superb performance from pitcher Hildo van Doorn, but the Quebec City Baby Blues still won the game, 6-2. van Doorn was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball. The winning streak has now reached 9 games for the Baby Blues.
Paul Pitts made it 4-2 in favor of Quebec City when he delivered a 2-run single. It came with one out in the top of the tenth. The red-hot Baby Blues went on to win.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Quebec City manager Tony Romero.
