Nakamura Lays Hammer Down in 3-1 Win
|
Montgomery got a strong outing from Toshinobu Nakamura as the Biscuits defeated the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, 3-1, at The Igloo. The Snowpeople fall to 8-11 and continue their lackluster start to the 2037 season.
The standout performance belonged to 19-year-old Nakamura. With his baby face, he looked more like someone starting for a high school team than for the Biscuits. His performance, however, was nothing short of top-notch. The youngster dominated the Snowpeople, striking out 10 and scattering 6 hits over 8 innings. Nakamura is now 2-2 on the season.
"We take it day by day here," said Nakamura, "and today was a good one for us."
