"Tip your hat to Castillo," Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams said in his postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 33-year-old left-hander had 1 walk and 3 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Castillo said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
In 7 starts this season Castillo has chalked up a 3-3 record and a 5.31 ERA.
