Hotspur Academy Get One-Run Win at Montgomery
|
Phoenix Hotspur Academy starter Lúcio Salas was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Montgomery Biscuits, 3-2. Ben Gainer closed the door for Phoenix, picking up his 1st save of the year. Phoenix, now 6-3, has played well in the early going.
Phoenix took a 3-1 lead on Richard Barlow's 7th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Barlow hit in the top of the eighth, left Montgomery pitcher Hisanobu Yamashita shaking his head.
"We've got a great group of guys," Salas said, "and we're having fun right now."
