Goytia, Amarillo Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
Amarillo Submarinos starter José Goytia was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Quebec City Baby Blues, 1-0. Amarillo, now 5-3, has played well in the early going.
Goytia was in the zone all game. He frustrated Quebec City hitters while giving the Submarinos 6 innings of quality work. Goytia threw 87 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 13 punchouts.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Quebec City manager Tony Romero, "let me know."
