The Franklin Fire faced a tough opponent in Moose Jaw pitcher Cristóbal López, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Foresters Stadium by a final score of 4-2. López went 7 innings and allowed no earned runs. With the loss, Moose Jaw is 4-3.
Franklin needed the clutch hitting of Alois Malik to notch the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Fire on top, 4-2. For the game, Malik had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Franklin skipper Mark Davis. "I can't complain."
