The Quebec City Baby Blues got a superb performance from pitcher Jesús Ríos. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Ellesmere Island. The Snowpeople won the game, 9-6. In spite of the loss, Ríos was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball. Reliever Ricardo Marrero picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Andy Potter took the loss. The save was credited to Diyaa Ababneh, his 1st.

Ellesmere Island took a 2-1 lead on Jared Schneider's 4th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Schneider hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Quebec City pitcher Andy Potter shaking his head.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Schneider said after the game.

The win gives the Snowpeople a record of 1-2.
