Thunder Bay and Northern Virginia duked it out at Great Northern Field and the Northern Lions BC came out victorious.

Noe Toepfer pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, despite Toepfer's fine outing, dropped a 1-0 decision to the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at Great Northern Field. With the win, Thunder Bay has a record of 15-14. Northern Virginia falls to 18-11.

Domingo Altamiraņo, who is tied for 10th in the SL with a .540 slugging percentage, contributed to the Thunder Bay win with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
