Rainbow Mermaids Waste Great Game from McCoy
|
Daniel McCoy did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids from losing, 7-5, to the Phoenix Hotspur at Chase Field. McCoy went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Phoenix is now 13-11, Northern Virginia 15-9.
Phoenix took a 7-5 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With two out, left fielder Tae-cho Han hit a 2-run home run that aroused the crowd.
Han expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
