San Mateo Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
The San Mateo Dirty Reds wasted an impressive 6.2-inning effort from starter Tom McKee, falling 2-0 to the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at Lang Park. Alejandro Guerra picked up the save for Thunder Bay, his 2nd of the year. Thunder Bay is in 5th place in the Silver League with a record of 12-11.

It could have been a different outcome for Thunder Bay, had it not been for Ramón Padilla, the 23-year old shortstop . Padilla contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the sixth inning to put Thunder Bay up, 1-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Padilla told the Thunder Bay Daily.
