Caldwell left-hander Ryson Polonius pitched his team to victory over the Galesburg Guzzlers at Pipers Ballpark. The final score was 5-4. Polonius went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 4, and struck out 7. His record improves to 14-5. Caldwell is now 62-32, 4 games up in the Premier A.
Jacob King put Caldwell in front, 5-1, when he took António Arellano downtown. His 3-run home run came with one out in the bottom of the fourth. It was his 4th home run of the season.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," King told the Caldwell Bulletin.
