Seahawks Deal Revolution Painful Loss
|
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks took York pitcher Trevor Bowden's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Seahwaks Stadium. The final score had Myrtle Beach getting past the Revolution, 1-0. Bowden went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs, striking out 4. Myrtle Beach reliever Duckens Nazon picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. Jeffery Johnston shouldered the loss.
Tora Tora was the walk-off hero for Myrtle Beach. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Seahawks designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I like what I saw today," said Myrtle Beach manager Kyle Holman, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
Myrtle Beach has now won 4 games in a row.
